This process works for any microphone and is not limited to the G7UFO (Assembled) Turret or the K6ARK Kit.

The -24dB (AOM-5024L-HD-F-R) element is recommended for the QMX as it was the element used during development at QRP Labs.

Hans has written an excellent guide (search for the Microphone test tool heading on that page) detailing how to setup the QMX with this microphone element. By default this is set to +50dB but its worth running through this to get the best setup.

Its also worth ensuring that in the QMX Menu that ‘SSB->Input’ is set to ‘Ext. mic’ and you have plugged the mic into the ‘paddle’ socket.
